GENERAL CONDITIONS AND INFORMATION
Fares
/ Discounts / Routes
The
tariffs for domestic and international routes include sea passage in
selected accommodation arrangements and all port expenses. Meals and
beverages are not included.
In
case of trip cancellation, passengers are entitled to a full refund while
the company has no further obligation.
The
company reserves the right to replace the vessel mentioned on the ticket
with another one without prior notice.
30% Discount on the return fares for passengers & Vehicles,
provided that round trip tickets are issued at
the same time. The discount is valid all year round on international
routes.
10% Discount
for passengers over 60 years old travelling with or without their vehicle
(all categories included). This discount is
invalid for vehicles using "Camping on Board" facilities. The
offer is valid all year round on international routes. I.D or
passport is important at check-in point or before departure of the
vessel.
Youths
- discount 20%
For youths up to 26 years old travelling with
or without their car (not
valid for other vehicle categories)
or their motorcycle, in all accommodation categories, except for Lux cabins.
The
offer is valid all
year round on international routes.
MINOAN
family
a)
10% Discount for
families of three (3) or 4 members traveling with or without car on
international routes ( Greece Italy Greece ). This discount is valid for
A3, A4, AB3, AB4 cabin category. The
offer is valid all year round on international routes.
b)20% Discount for
families of four (4) or more members traveling on Deck category with car
(not valid for other vehicle categories) on
international routes ( Greece Italy Greece ) travelling on the same date
and route. The
offer is valid all
year round on international routes.
c)50% Discount for
children 4-12 years old on the selected fare. Children travelling in cabins
should be accompanied by adults travelling on full fare. Children below 4
years old travel free of charge under the condition that they do not possess
berth or Airplane Type Seat.
Combined
trip (International - Domestic) - discount 10%
On
domestic lines' tickets for passengers and vehicles, owners of
international route tickets travelling from Europe to Greece or vice
versa. The discount is valid only if international and domestic tickets
are simultaneously issued. The offer is valid all year round.
Student
- discount 20%
For students travelling with or without their car
(not
valid for other vehicle categories)
or their motorcycle, in all accommodation categories, except for Lux cabins.
The presentation of a valid student identity card is
required at check-in points prior to departure of the vessel. The
offer is valid all
year round on international routes.
Passengers
entitled to discounted fares are kindly requested to notify us at the time
of booking. Once the ticket is issued, no refunds are allowed for price
differences.
Groups,
trucks, buses and unescorted vehicles are subject to special agreements.

Tickets
/ Payments / Reservations
The
ticket is strictly personal. It is not transferable and is valid only for
the specific class and route it has been issued for. Any change must be
reported to the issuing agent, the central reservation offices or the port
offices.
The
ticket is valid for one year from the issuing date and only for the port of
departure mentioned therein.

Passengers
with “open date” tickets should confirm their reservations well in
advance especially during high season. Such tickets are valid for one year
after the issuing date. Any difference in price is paid by the passenger.
According
to the S.O.LAS. regulation, the P.D. 23/99 of the Greek state and the
European Union Communal Instruction 98/41 , it is now mandatory, for reasons
of safety, to state the following information when making your reservation: Surname,
Name (Initial), gender, age category (child / adult /
infant), type of vehicle and plate number. Passengers who are
not residents or nationals of an E.U. member state are also required to
provide additional information such as: Nationality, Passport
number and date of birth.
Cancellations:
Domestic Lines
From the date of the
ticket issue and up to 14 days before the scheduled departure, the fare of
the
ticket is fully refundable.
From 13 days up to 7 days
before the scheduled departure: 75% refund.
From 6 days up to 12
hours before the scheduled departure: 50% refund.
Adriatic Lines
From
the date of the ticket issue and up to 30 days before the scheduled
departure: 90% refund
(+ 10€).
From
29 days up to 7 days before the scheduled departure: 70%
refund (+ 10€).
From
6 days up to 2 days before the scheduled departure: 50% refund
(+ 10€).
On
the day of the scheduled departure: the fare is not refunded.
Tickets
can be refunded only by the issuing agency.
In
the event of ticket loss, the passenger must notify the issuing agent or the
company in writing. The passenger is charged for issuance of a new ticket.
However, refund of the lost ticket will be made at the end of the year if
found non – utilized at the year’s end checking by the revenue department.
Children
under the age of 4 travels free of charge and are not entitled to a berth or
sit. However, a free ticket must be issued for embarkation. A 50% discount
is offered to children from 4 to 12 years of age
(Italy-Greece). For domestic routes (Greece) the 50% discount is valid for
children from 4 to 10 years of age.
The
following credit cards are accepted: American Express / Visa / Euro Card /
MasterCard.

Boarding
Instructions / Safety
Passengers
must report at the port offices for check in:
At
least one hour before departure (Domestic routes)
At
least 2 hours before departure for international routes (Italy / Greece).
Otherwise, the company reserves the right to dispose the reserved
accommodation without any refund to the passenger.
For
vehicles, boarding time and priority list is subject to local port authority
regulations at the port of departure. Vehicle operators are responsible for
their vehicle’s embarkation according to the ship’s crew instructions.
It
is strictly forbidden for passengers to carry firearms, explosives,
flammables, combustibles and other dangerous substances or materials on
board.
For
safety reasons, passengers with Camping on Board arrangements are not
allowed to use propane or any other cooking or heating gas during the entire
stay on board.

General
Information
Passengers
are responsible for complying with all Port, Health and customs regulations.
Passengers
ought to comply with the ship’s captain and crew instructions regarding
public order and safety on board.
Passengers
must consult the captain or the staff captain should a complaint arises
while on board. They may also contact MINOAN LINES or the port authorities.
Luggage
may be left inside vehicles. Passengers are kindly requested to take their
personal belongings that might be used during the voyage. The company
shall not be held liable in case of loss of money or valuables stored in
cars, luggage, common areas or cabins. You are welcome to check your
valuables with the Purser’s office for safekeeping.
Pets
travel free of charge specially designated kennels on the ship’s deck.
Pets are not allowed in indoor public areas or cabins. Pet owners are
responsible for feeding and pet hygiene. Pet owners are required to have
their pet's valid health papers with them.
Shops
on board offer a wide variety of products at very competitive prices.
EURO
is the official currency on board.
Cabins
are characterized as 2,3 or 4 -berth depending on the number of passengers
occupying it, not on the number of beds. In case a whole cabin is reserved
for exclusive use, a 50% surcharge will be added for each occupied berth.
Use
of public areas of the ship is free for all passengers. It is prohibited
however, to sleep or eat in the lounges and bars.
Camping
on board users are welcome to use all public areas of the ship. The supply
of water and electricity for caravans and trailers is free of charge.
Camping on board is a service subject to local port authorities rules and
regulations.
Timetables,
tariffs and travel conditions are subject to variations without prior
notice. Arrival times quoted in timetables indicate the ship’s arrival at
the port’s entrance (pilot station).
Minoan
Lines cannot be held liable for delays, due to adverse weather conditions,
orders by the Ministry of Merchant Marine or force majeure.
The
terms and conditions herein shall be governed by and construed in accordance
to Greek laws. In the event of disagreement, qualified authorities for its
settlement are the courts of Piraeus.
